  • Navigating Between Minecraft Servers

    One address to rule them all

    This post is considered out of date. This may be for a number of reasons, for example: the information may be out of date, the topic may be irrelevant now, or simply that the post is quite old but I wanted to keep the history.

    Using Waterfall Velocity, a Minecraft server proxy, you only need one address to be able to connect to multiple servers.

    How to get between Minecraft Servers?

    Using the new configuration I have combined all servers under one address and port so there is no need to have multiple TNTable servers in your list. I discuss the specifics later. For now I will just give you the commands to get around. They are also really easy to find on the server. At any time start typing “/server” and a list of autocomplete suggestions will come up with the available servers.

    Waterfall

    Waterfall is a fork on BungeeCord, a Minecraft server proxy. It takes BungeeCord and optimizes it further.

    Note from the future

    Waterfall is no longer being used, Velocity has replaced it. It provides the the same functionality with additional performance improvements.

    What is a server proxy and why do I care?

    A server proxy allows the addresses to be combined into one so that multiple servers are not needed in the list with multiple ports or extra configuration at a DNS level. Waterfall is advantageous for me as I can create additional servers and configure waterfall instead of worrying about additional ports needing to be opened and all the extra configuration that would otherwise be required. Travelling between servers is easy and it will remember which server you were in before logging out and place you back in there when rejoining.

    Joining

    The server address can be found in the TNTable Discord community. Ensure that you have given me your username before joining so that I may add your name to the whitelist. By default you will land in the SMP server but switching is a command away.

  • Server Internet Testing

    The server may experience some downtime today as I am going to be testing some things with my network to make it faster. They should be resolved by the end of the day.

  • Server Address Change

    As of 8:15am today the sever address tntable.[redacted] will no longer work. You MUST use [redacted] to connect.

  • Important Information!

    I will be gone this weekend, starting today and coming back Monday. I will not be available to fix the server if there are any issues so please try to reduce the amount of stuff you do so the server does not crash. I will set something up that will restart the server every hour on the hour so watch for that when you play. Don’t message me with any complaints unless you have donated to help reduce server lag.

  • Server will be down

    The server will be down at some point over the next couple days because I am getting faster internet speeds. The server should end up being a little more responsive now with faster speeds. The outage should only last at most 2 hours, but probably much less time.

  • Server Back!

    The server is back up and running now! There may not be any performance improvements but it can now run longer with less problems. I will be able to keep it up 24/7 now! On another note, 1.8 is coming out extremely soon!!!! Just a reminder, when 1.8 comes out I will only use releases for the server. I will no longer make it a snapshot server to help with performance and keep problems down. I will however be running a small snapshot server for 3 people if they want to play on it. I’ll keep you updated!

  • Cleaner Server

    Server is down now and will be back up by 11:30am at the latest. I decided to do maintenance now while nobody is on.

  • Server down

    The server will be down tomorrow July 7th for cleaning and general tune up. It will be taken down at 12:30pm and will be back up at 1:30pm at the latest.

  • Up 24/7!

    I will now run the server 24/7! There will be times when it’s down so I can do maintenance and to restart it to keep performance up but I will now run it all day and night.

  • Server fixed

    The server computer has been fixed *hopefully*! It should perform faster now, which is good. If you notice issues contact me through email at thephon22@[redacted].
